Cassaundra Sowl

My name is Cassaundra Sowl, I am from a little town in Central Wisconsin. I moved to the Upper Peninsula in January of 2019 to be closer to my family. I am a mother of two children, a dog and a cat. I have a large heart when it comes to animals!! Some of my hobbies are playing with animals, reading, going to the beach, watching superhero movies, and being a hopeless romantic!

After high school, I pursued a few of my dreams. I became a Veterinarian Assistant, Dog Obedience Trainer, Restaurant Manager, Entrepreneur and a Makeup Artist. I have not done much with my certification until now. 

Going into adulthood, I was a newly younger mom, so I worked many corporate jobs, climbed many corporate ladders, worked at a gentleman's club, tattoo shops and so much more. I was never happy. I did what I had to do to make ends meet and it was hard. I just needed more knowledge as it was very satisfying to me. Until I found out I could be my on boss. I thought being an entrepreneur was an amazing lifestyle. I made my own hours, I loved making new friends, I ran my own business and I was good at it. Until one day, I wanted more. I wanted expression. Being an entrepreneur was exciting, but with it came another big passion. Doing makeup; not only on myself but also for others!

I have been practicing makeup ever since I was 15 years old. One day, my mother grounded me for wearing white eyeliner and blue eyeshadow. Fast forward 15 years, my mother now hires me for my niece and refers people to me for my makeup artistry skills. I have attempted Cosmetology school, I did not like it. There was too much to that I did not want to learn. I just wanted to do makeup. So eventually I found what I was looking for and became a certified Makeup Artist! I love doing all kinds of make up from bridal to runway makeup to Halloween looks to special effects. I can do it all. I have been doing bridal makeup for weddings ever since 2015 when I did my own and 6 bridesmaids. I have traveled between Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan for all sorts of weddings, events and Holidays. Makeup isn't just about being beautiful, it's also about the confidence it makes you feel. Even if you are simply wearing only mascara or lipstick. Don't believe me, book me for your next event!
